The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is a dynamic academic medical center dedicated to advancing health through education, research, and patient care. Within the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), the Strategic Financial Planning team serves as a critical partner to executive leadership, translating complex organizational strategies into actionable financial roadmaps. The team operates at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations, ensuring the health system's long-term viability and growth.
As the Director of Strategic Financial Planning, you will serve as a senior technical and analytical leader supporting the Executive Director. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the health system by developing, executing, and managing long-range financial plans, debt capacity models, and capital planning initiatives. You will act as a bridge between high-level strategic priorities and detailed financial execution, creating the models, projections, and decision-support materials that guide the Executive Director, System CFO, and governing bodies.
In this position, you will partner closely with system finance, treasury, tax, strategy, facilities, and market leadership. Your work ensures that financial plans are not only analytically sound but also responsive to changing market conditions and aligned with the organization's broader mission. You will lead the development of multi-year financial projections, oversee the financial feasibility of major capital projects, and provide critical financial leadership on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. Beyond the numbers, you will translate complex financial findings into clear narratives for non-financial audiences, ensuring that strategic decision-making is informed by robust data.
We are a community of energetic and enthusiastic individuals committed to excellence. At MUSC, we foster an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and are dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone can succeed.
