General Atomics (GA) and its affiliated companies are among the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development. Our work spans a diverse range of critical sectors, from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless, and laser technologies.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Strategic Development within the GA-EMS Electromagnetic Systems Group. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategic Development, this role is designed to direct business development activities for the supported organization while providing strategic leadership across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
In this position, you will exercise influence and collaboration rather than direct supervisory authority to drive growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering deep insights into customers, markets, competitors, and funding landscapes. A key part of your mission is to build and sustain high-impact relationships with U.S. Government entities, industry partners, national laboratories, and academic institutions.
Specifically, you will oversee the strategic development for U.S. government nuclear programs, managing all phases of terrestrial and space business development activities. Your focus will be on shaping and capturing programs relevant to advanced terrestrial nuclear power, as well as space nuclear power and propulsion. You will act as the primary contact for high-level business development, leading progress review sessions and ensuring that business and financial objectives are met for nuclear opportunities.
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and possess the ability to maintain a Top Secret/Q Security Clearance. Ideally, applicants will have an active TS/Q clearance with SCI eligibility or be eligible for one.
General Atomics recognizes and appreciates the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We welcome all qualified individuals to apply and are committed to maintaining a culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability in all business development activities.
