About the Role

The Business Development Manager for IPS is a strategic role responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending prospective new work within the Power Management market areas. This position is crucial for driving strategic market development and penetration, ensuring the IPS Power Management business unit objectives are met. You will act as a bridge between functional departments and customers, coordinating strategy and leading the preparation of proposals and presentations to win new business opportunities.

In this role, you will establish and maintain deep relationships with middle and senior management executives in customer organizations and strategic teaming partners. You will keep informed of customers' present and future plans for growth, projects, and technical requirements, demonstrating how IPS can meet their expectations. Your day-to-day involves directing the business development and capture strategy for specific prospects, keeping a close watch on competitor pricing trends and approaches, and analyzing jobs won and lost to refine future strategies. You will supervise the preparation of proposals, manage win plans and budgets, and lead fee negotiations with customers. Additionally, you will oversee research into current and future strategic markets, recommending new services and industry markets for the company to pursue.

Hiring Process

IPS is committed to a rigorous selection process to ensure we find the best fit for our team. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background and driving record investigation. As a federal contractor, we are committed to maintaining a safe and drug-free workplace; candidates for this position are required to complete a pre-employment drug screen successfully. The screening process includes testing for substances that may impair one's ability to perform the job safely and effectively.

Equal Opportunity

IPS is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
