About the Role

As a Business Development Tech Executive, you will drive revenue growth for the Staples Technology Solutions (STS) organization by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. Your primary focus is on prospecting, qualifying, and closing new customer accounts within designated territories.

You will act as a relentless hunter, executing total sales strategies to move targeted prospects into active opportunities. By positioning Staples Technology Solutions as the preferred partner for decision-makers and influencers in IT and Procurement departments, you will secure contractual relationships in the technology category. This role requires deep collaboration with Staples office products Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other sales teams to broaden customer relationships.

Your day involves preparing for consultative engagements through diligent research into prospective customers' industries and business challenges. You will communicate effectively with C-level executives at both customer and vendor partner levels, while working with the Sales Support Team to optimize response times. Additionally, you will provide strategic input to sales leadership regarding new programs and initiatives.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with a specific regional focus. While the role is primarily home-based, the successful candidate must reside within or adjacent to the supported region, which includes Colorado, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and Nebraska.
