This position serves as a vital link in our district's commitment to inclusive education, ensuring that students with special needs are transported safely and with dignity. As a Bus Driver, you will be the primary point of contact for students during their commute, responsible for navigating specified routes according to a strict time schedule while adhering to all traffic regulations.
The role extends beyond driving; it requires a compassionate and vigilant professional who can assist students with diverse physical and behavioral needs. You will be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of students, including those in wheelchairs, and for managing student conduct to maintain a secure environment. Your day will involve conducting thorough vehicle inspections, maintaining the cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior, and administering first aid when necessary. Additionally, you will play a key role in training bus attendants and leading emergency evacuation drills.
