We prioritize investing in our people, cultivating an inclusive environment where everyone, including our clients, can thrive. When you join Hines, you will embark on a career journey fueled by vision and guided by leaders who set the standards of our industry.
As a Building Engineer with Hines, you will be the guardian of our building's operational integrity. You will maintain the basic operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems, routinely reviewing operating conditions to resolve any abnormal issues. This role is vital to ensuring our properties remain safe, efficient, and comfortable for tenants and visitors alike.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of technical troubleshooting and proactive care. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, making precise adjustments to keep equipment operating within established criteria. Beyond the technical work, you will serve as a first point of contact for tenant requests, responding promptly and courteously to their needs. You will also play a critical role in safety, maintaining operation logs, participating in water treatment programs, and demonstrating full competency in emergency procedures, including evacuations and life safety system responses.
Working as a dedicated team member, you will collaborate with the entire operation staff, contractors, and tenants to foster a cooperative and professional environment. You will be expected to support emergency response efforts and participate in on-call rotations, ensuring our buildings are secure and operational around the clock.
