Auburn University's School of Forestry is seeking a dedicated student assistant to join its Building Operations team. This role is vital for supporting the Building Operations Coordinator, ensuring that daily operations within the College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment run smoothly. By assisting with a variety of hands-on tasks, team members help maintain the university's vehicle fleet, manage departmental errands, and support event logistics.
As a student assistant, you will play an active part in the operational backbone of the School of Forestry. Your day-to-day activities will involve driving and transporting university fleet vehicles for maintenance, fueling, and inspections, as well as picking up serviced vehicles from maintenance facilities. You will also handle logistical tasks such as purchasing cleaning supplies, delivering accounting forms to campus offices, and transporting surplus furniture. Additionally, you may assist with event set-ups and tear-downs, including handling linens, and perform minor repairs or inspections at designated research and operational sites.
