This position is part of the IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, a union with over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and miscellaneous service work to ensure the proper use, care, and minor reconstruction of high-rise buildings and their grounds.
As a stationary building mechanic, you may be required to work alone or under indirect supervision on all jobs for which you have been trained and have demonstrated ability. You will serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, communicating regarding safety, parts, repairs, and timelines. The role demands flexibility to handle minor and emergency repairs as necessary on-site, often requiring work in various weather extremes and during extended hours, nights, weekends, or overtime.
