About the Role
The Maintenance/Building Supervisor serves as the guardian of the facility's integrity, ensuring the total maintenance of the building aligns with strict regulatory standards. This role is critical to the safety and well-being of both residents and the physical structure, requiring a proactive approach to cleanliness, sanitation, and operational readiness.
In this fast-paced residential healthcare environment, you will oversee the daily rhythm of the building. Your day involves regular inspections to identify needed repairs, coordinating with outside contractors for complex projects, and managing the inventory of essential supplies. You will be the first line of defense for heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring any malfunctions are reported and addressed immediately. Beyond technical maintenance, you are responsible for the grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and refuse disposal, ensuring the facility remains a safe and orderly environment for all.

You will supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, conducting skill assessments and developing training plans to elevate the department's capabilities. Physical Environment
This role is performed within a residential healthcare setting featuring normal heating and cooling. The work environment includes regular evening and weekend shifts, as well as outdoor conditions for grounds maintenance. The position requires the ability to walk, sit for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including depth perception and color vision, are necessary to perform essential functions safely.
