You will be the first line of defense for heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring any malfunctions are reported and addressed immediately. Beyond technical maintenance, you are responsible for the grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and refuse disposal, ensuring the facility remains a safe and orderly environment for all.
Success in this position requires more than technical expertise; it demands the ability to build and lead a strong team. You will supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, conducting skill assessments and developing training plans to elevate the department's capabilities. This role is performed within a residential healthcare setting featuring normal heating and cooling. The work environment includes regular evening and weekend shifts, as well as outdoor conditions for grounds maintenance. The position requires the ability to walk, sit for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including depth perception and color vision, are necessary to perform essential functions safely.
