This position serves as a vital support pillar for the Budget, Accounting and Revenue (B.A.R.) Unit within the Office of Finance at the Maryland Department of Health's Medicaid Office. The role is dedicated to ensuring fiscal integrity and operational efficiency for the Medical Care Programs. You will be instrumental in managing the financial lifecycle, from processing invoices and tracking expenditures to reviewing purchase requisitions for available funding. Beyond daily transactional duties, you will play a key part in strategic financial planning by supporting budget preparation, quarterly projections, and expenditure management plans. The position also involves preparing fiscal notes and executing special accounting assignments that drive budget initiatives.
