Our mission is to provide the best care to every child. As a Magnet-designated hospital, we uphold the highest quality standards and the Patient Bill of Rights, fostering a compassionate, family-centered care environment.
The Bridge Program is a structured onboarding experience specifically designed for Registered Nurses transitioning from non-acute care settings (such as home health, school nursing, or case management) to the acute pediatric environment. This cohort is intended for RNs who have worked in the field for less than six months in non-acute roles.
Standardized onboarding is a best practice proven to decrease turnover, reduce medication errors, and strengthen clinical knowledge. Through a comprehensive curriculum including didactic sessions, interactive online modules, simulation, and hands-on training with preceptors, nurses gain increased proficiency and clinical experience across multiple specialties. Selected candidates will have opportunities to work in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, or our main hospital in Miami. Please note that acceptance into this program requires a commitment of approximately two years.
Applications for this cohort are accepted only from May 17th through May 24th due to high interest and limited positions.
Nicklaus Children's Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
