We are actively searching for a Bridge Inspector to join our team in Raleigh, NC (preferred), Norfolk, or Richmond, VA. As a member of our team, you will perform bridge inspections across the State of North Carolina, Virginia, and the Southeastern United States. The principal function of this position is to evaluate bridges through above-ground engineering inspections.
You will utilize Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and National Highway Institute (NHI) criteria while inspecting bridges via buckets, snoopers, boats, ladders, safety harnesses, and other equipment. This role involves a dynamic mix of field work and office reporting. Field work is performed outdoors across the region in all seasons, often requiring overtime during field weeks followed by in-office report corrections and submittals. You will partner with other professionals and departments to gather information, collaborate with the inspection group, and provide quality assurance reviews of inspection reports.
