We are seeking a Branch Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time remote contract basis. This role is critical for maintaining the safety and compliance of retail bank branch locations across the financial sector. Candidates must have prior experience supporting branch or multi-site environments within Banking or Retail, specifically with a minimum of 250 sites. Immediate availability is required, with all selected candidates needing to begin within 7 days of the offer acceptance.
The Branch Security Engineer serves as the technical backbone for physical security technology deployed across distributed retail bank locations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of these systems, ensuring branch environments remain protected, resilient, and compliant with strict banking standards. This position bridges the gap between engineering design and operational reality, working closely with service delivery teams to plan and implement technologies that safeguard our clients' assets and people.
Your day-to-day involves designing and standardizing security systems in alignment with enterprise architecture, while providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex incidents, outages, and device failures. You will act as the primary point of contact for critical branch security events, coordinating with integrators, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues ranging from alarm disruptions to system failures. Beyond troubleshooting, you will maintain critical documentation, including architecture diagrams and as-built records, and assist in the testing and validation of security systems prior to branch openings.
This is a hybrid role that combines remote work with field support. You will participate in an on-call rotation that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage for critical security events. Periodic travel to branch locations, operations centers, or vendor sites will be necessary to support deployments and incident response. Success in this role requires a calm, disciplined approach to troubleshooting under time-sensitive conditions, alongside strong communication skills to provide clear technical and executive updates during high-pressure incidents.
