As a vital part of the Visitor Services team, the Part Time Visitor Services Ambassador serves as the Museum's leading representative. This role is dedicated to curating a visitor's experience by attentively listening, expertly guiding, and accurately communicating requested information. The team works with united enthusiasm to ensure every guest receives the highest level of customer service set forth by museum practices.
The Visitor Services Ambassador, Box Office, provides the first impression and the last interaction for visiting guests. You will act as the face of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and engaging demeanor. Your professional and courteous actions will assist the Museum in exceeding visitor expectations by creating a wonderful experience from start to finish.
In this role, you will actively seek out and engage guests in conversation, using strategies such as inquiry, personalizing experiences, and appropriate humor. You will clearly communicate the mission and message of the Museum, offering facts and historical information about the museum, ships, equipment, and artifacts. By recommending museum itineraries and explaining policies and offerings, you will help guests navigate their visit with confidence.
