By joining the American Red Cross, you become a vital part of the world's largest humanitarian network. It is an experience where you touch millions of lives every year and witness the greatness of the human spirit. Our team is composed of welcoming, exceptional, and unassuming individuals who are diverse yet uncompromising in unity.
When you choose to be a force for good, you align your life's work with a mission bigger than yourself. Success here is measured in people helped, communities made whole, and individuals equipped to change lives for the better. We offer mentors who empower your growth along a purposeful career path, ensuring you are cared for with competitive compensation and benefits while respecting who you are both inside and outside of work.
As a Distribution Technician, you will be the guardian of life-saving blood products and samples. Your day involves receiving, processing, packing, and shipping these critical items for hospital orders. You will triage orders based on urgency, carefully selecting and packing products with the correct temperature-regulating materials to ensure safe transport.
This role requires close communication with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, as well as meticulous maintenance of product records to preserve traceability. You will ensure products are suitable for release, manage inventory throughout the manufacturing and shipping process, and make data-driven decisions based on visual inspections and quality standards. You may also be assigned to make hospital deliveries. As a team member, you are expected to show up for every shift, give 100%, and interact with a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner that demonstrates care and compassion.
