Biomedical Technician II

About the Role

The BMET II position is designed for an experienced professional with over two years of practical experience, serving as a subject matter expert in various medical technologies. This role is central to maintaining the reliability of critical medical equipment through scheduled maintenance and repair services.

Success in this position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Because the BMET II maintains a close daily relationship with facility staff, excellent organizational and customer service abilities are essential. The role demands the ability to work independently to accomplish preventive maintenance (PM) tasks while balancing urgent repair calls and managing all related documentation.

Day-to-Day Impact

As a BMET II, you will troubleshoot and repair equipment using technical drawings, manuals, and specifications. You will be responsible for performing invasive repairs, arranging their completion, and requesting necessary, cost-effective parts with sound judgment regarding on-site repair feasibility. Operating and maintaining test equipment to high standards is a daily requirement.

Beyond technical execution, this role is a key interface for customer satisfaction. You will proactively communicate with support staff and managers to report work status, scheduling issues, and any service activities requiring attention. By building on existing knowledge and quickly learning new maintenance skills, you will also contribute to the team by passing information on to fellow technicians. Your interactions directly shape the company's image, ensuring a high level of customer perception regarding value and service quality.
