Did you know that all the billboards you see along the highway are built like a small erector set? Our Billboard Construction Crew Members construct and maintain this inventory, and that could be you if you like working outdoors. As part of Lamar's operations crew in Memphis, Tennessee, you will experience the city from a bird's-eye view while building and maintaining the structures that keep communities informed.
This role is for those who value safety, teamwork, and adventure. You will bring outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Memphis and the surrounding areas, working as a full-time Operations crew member. Every day offers a chance to see the world from above while ensuring our structures are safe, functional, and visually striking.
Your day will be a mix of hands-on construction, maintenance, and logistical coordination. You will erect and dismantle billboard structures, often climbing to heights of up to 200 feet. Beyond construction, you will perform essential vegetation and structure maintenance, including painting, repairing walkways, trimming trees, and cutting grass.
You will also handle pre and post-trip preparations, such as folding and loading billboard vinyl, completing trip documentation, and documenting vehicle and equipment maintenance. Ensuring the shop and materials yard remains clean and organized, with old vinyl stored for recycling, is a key part of your routine. You will also perform basic electrical maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and fuses, and attend safety meetings to adhere to all regulations. Finally, you will capture completion photos to serve as proof of performance.
Candidates with a disability in need of an accommodation to fulfill our application requirements should email recruiting@lamar.com. Please note that Lamar Advertising does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a work visa; only candidates with U.S. work authorization not requiring sponsorship will be considered.
