About the Team

CenterWell Senior Primary Care, a leading healthcare services business within Humana, provides proactive, preventive care to seniors. Our unique care model focuses on personalized experiences, taking time to listen, learn, and address the factors that impact patient well-being. Our integrated care teams, which include physicians, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and more, spend up to 50 percent more time with patients, providing compassionate, personalized care that brings better health outcomes. We go beyond physical health by also addressing other factors that can impact a patient's well-being.

As the largest provider of senior-focused primary care, CenterWell is focused on whole health and addressing the physical, emotional, and social wellness of our patients. We are part of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), a company dedicated to creating integrated and differentiated experiences that put our patients at the center of everything we do.

About the Role

The Medical Assistant serves as the first contact for patient care within our caring community. This role is responsible for a blend of administrative tasks and direct patient support, performing varied activities and moderately complex assignments to ensure the smooth operation of the Center. You will report to the Center Administrator and play a vital part in our mission to deliver high-quality, accessible, and comprehensive healthcare.

In this patient-facing position, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to compassionate care. The role involves managing the flow of patient visits, documenting symptoms in the EMR, and performing essential clinical duties such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and collecting specimens. You will help maintain a sterile and organized environment, ensuring examination rooms are ready for every patient. This position is integral to our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program and requires a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Hiring Process

As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we utilize an interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our decision-making ability. HireVue allows us to quickly connect and gain valuable information regarding your relevant skills and experience at a time that is best for your schedule.

Please ensure you attach your resume (PDF or Word format) to your application. If selected, you will be required to be screened for Tuberculosis as this role is patient-facing. Additionally, applicants may be asked to provide their Social Security Number if it is not already on file; if required, an email will be sent from Humana@myworkday.com with instructions on how to add the information into the official application on Humana's secure website.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Humana is an Equal Opportunity Employer. It is the policy of Humana not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, or protected veteran status. We take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment individuals with disabilities or protected veteran status, basing all employment decisions only on valid job requirements.
