Founded in 2003, Kanner & Pintaluga is a NLJ500 and Mid-Market Pro 50 law firm dedicated to recovering over $1 billion for property damage and personal injury clients nationwide. With nearly 100 lawyers and more than 30 offices throughout the Central and Southeastern United States, our primary goal is to achieve the most favorable outcome for our clients, ensuring they receive the maximum compensation for their damages.
As a Legal Assistant, you will serve as a vital support pillar within our litigation team, working directly alongside attorneys and paralegals to manage ongoing cases in strict compliance with Illinois' Rules of Civil Procedure. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in the meticulous organization required for complex legal matters.
Your day-to-day involves a dynamic blend of administrative precision and client interaction. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of medical documentation, from obtaining records and auditing bills to preparing comprehensive medical notebooks for depositions, mediations, and trials. Beyond case management, you will act as a key communication point for clients, handling monthly updates and coordinating logistics such as transportation for appointments. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, allowing you to bridge communication gaps and serve as an interpreter for non-English speaking clients when necessary.
We are committed to finding the right fit for our team. Candidates who meet the core requirements will be invited to discuss their experience and how their skills align with our firm's mission. We look for individuals who demonstrate strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a genuine commitment to our clients' success.
Kanner & Pintaluga is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member can contribute to our shared goal of justice for our clients. Employment is at will, and the firm retains the right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time in its sole discretion.
