About the Role
This position serves as a vital cultural broker and linguistic bridge between school staff, students, parents/guardians, and the broader community. Acting as a liaison, you will facilitate communication between English Language Learners (ELLs), their families, and school personnel to ensure equitable access to services and opportunities.
In this role, you will provide accurate and impartial interpretation of spoken messages, collaborate with ESOL teachers to interpret classroom instructions and assessments, and support parents in understanding school expectations, policies, and procedures. You will also play a key part in encouraging parent engagement through culturally-informed outreach and assisting families in developing post-secondary educational and career plans.
