The BASE Site Manager serves as the leader for on-site operations at a center licensed to serve 30 or more participants. This role is pivotal in ensuring children are actively engaged in safe and enriching activities while acting as the primary communicator with key stakeholders, including school administration, staff, and parents. The Site Manager is responsible for implementing the monthly curriculum and providing supervisory support to all on-site staff, including group aides, teachers, and program volunteers.
As a leader within the organization, you will attend PTA meetings, back-to-school nights, and other school activities to promote the program. You will participate in regional committees, organization surveys, and town hall events. The role involves driving enrollment to maintain site capacity, engaging with parents monthly, and leading fundraising efforts such as 'Send a Kid to Camp' and the Turkey Trot. You will also assist in training new Site leaders, recruiting and retaining associates, and bridging the gap between BASE and Family centers by participating in family events.
Daily operations require leading staff meetings, attending mandatory Site Managers' meetings, and coaching associates on OCC regulations, Y policies, and procedures. You will participate in performance reviews and improvement plan meetings, conduct regular mock assessments, and complete Assessment Visit Action Plans. The role demands sound judgment to ensure the safety and security of participants, enforce all rules, and maintain confidentiality regarding records. You will relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic segments of the community and communicate professionally with children, parents, and school administration.
All Y associates agree to abide by The Code of Conduct with Youth, which sets clear expectations to ensure a safe and respectful environment for young people. This policy emphasizes treating youth with respect and fairness, avoiding inappropriate interactions, and strictly prohibiting any form of abuse, bullying, or harassment. Associates and volunteers must complete training on child abuse prevention and comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.
