Ariel Clinical Services has been in business for over 30 years, evolving from early days serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) into a broad provider of residential programs, vocational support, foster care, adoption, and therapy. While rooted in the Western Slope, we have expanded our reach to Denver, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo.
Our mission is to provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for children, families, and adults so they may develop their strengths, maximize their potential, and fully participate in society. We deeply value our community and are committed to staying engaged through both financial contributions and hands-on service initiatives. As we grow, we foster professional growth for our team, offering clear pathways for advancement from entry-level roles.
The Barista Direct Support Professional is a unique hybrid role that combines the warmth of a coffee shop environment with person-centered support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be the face of the café, warmly greeting customers and creating a welcoming atmosphere while simultaneously supporting our clients in developing self-help, social, and daily living skills.
In this position, you will prepare and serve menu items, manage the Point of Sale system, and maintain an inviting space. Beyond the counter, you will work closely with clients to review their individual support plans, teach specific protocols, and provide reliable transportation within the community as needed. This role requires a flexible mindset, the ability to switch between customer service and clinical support seamlessly, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries while building trustworthy relationships.
We are committed to a "Culture of Awesomeness" and care deeply about our team. Eligible employees enjoy an expansive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision at affordable rates, 100% covered group life insurance, and a generous Paid Time Off accrual (13 days in the first year, plus sick leave and holidays). We also offer a $50/month wellness stipend, a 403B retirement plan with employer matching, and an Employee Assistance Program.
This position is part-time (20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and will remain open until filled. Successful candidates must be available to work outside traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter. Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check, including a Criminal Background Investigation, Colorado Adult Protective Services check, and sex offender registry checks. Upon hiring, you will be required to obtain specific certifications, including Food Protection Manager, CPR/First Aid, CPI training, and Van Drivers Training, within the specified timelines.
Ariel Clinical Services is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where all individuals are valued.
