Banquet Server

Position Summary

As a Banquet Server, you will be the face of hospitality during our events, ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable. Your role involves preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with the appropriate food and beverages as outlined in the Banquet Event Order. You will set up tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables, and cordial carts, while communicating any specific meal requirements, allergies, or dietary needs to the kitchen.

Throughout the event, you will monitor tableware presentation, replenish buffet items to maintain freshness, and ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed. You will also respond to special banquet arrangements and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your assigned service areas. This role requires bus tables by separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware, all while adhering to company safety, security, and confidentiality policies.

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period throughout the work shift. You may need to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects over 75 pounds with assistance. The role requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes. You will also navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and service ramps, and perform tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
