About the Role
In this Bakery/Deli Clerk position, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring all established quality assurance standards.
Your day will involve preparing items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment, offering product samples to help customers discover new items, and informing them of specials. You will ensure customers receive fresh products in the correct portion sizes, recommend deli or bakery items to meet their needs, and maintain proper temperatures and inventory logs. Beyond the counter, you will foster a culture of trust and respect among associates, ensuring an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
