A growing and innovative engineering firm is seeking a Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager to join their Seattle team. This role is designed for a leader who thrives at the intersection of technical aviation design and strategic business growth. You will serve as a pivotal figure in driving departmental strategy while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, complex aviation projects.
In this position, you will manage the full lifecycle of multiple aviation projects, from initial business development through final construction documentation. Your day will involve a dynamic blend of client relations, technical oversight, and operational management. You will lead proposal presentations, define scopes of work, and collaborate with technical staff to develop strategic plans for departmental growth.
Beyond project execution, you will provide senior quality control review and technical direction to designers and engineers. The role requires frequent site visits to monitor progress, conduct job hazard analyses, and ensure strict adherence to safety plans and FAA criteria. You will be responsible for mentoring junior staff, managing financial performance, and making critical decisions regarding technical aspects, costs, and schedules to meet client expectations.
