Established in 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, Classic Collision was founded with a singular goal: to offer quality service to its customers with integrity and honesty. As a rapidly growing company, our mission is to put safety, quality, integrity, and heart into every vehicle we repair and every customer we serve.
As an Auto Body Technician, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Your day will involve a collaborative effort with Collision Estimators to assess damage and prepare comprehensive repair plans. You will be responsible for the complete disassembly of vehicles, removing upholstery, accessories, and electrical components to access damaged areas while protecting parts from further damage.
Your expertise will be essential in mending damaged bodies through hammering, filling dents, and welding broken parts, ensuring all gaps and fits adhere to industry standards. You will operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welders, cutting torches, and spray guns, to repair or replace defective parts. Before a vehicle is turned over to the Paint Department, you will file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces. The role also includes inspecting and test-driving repaired vehicles to verify compliance with safety and quality standards, ensuring that all necessary repairs are identified to minimize repair time and eliminate supplements.
We invite you to join a supportive team culture where your growth is prioritized. At Classic Collision, you will benefit from continuous training opportunities and a rewarding work environment. We offer competitive pay with weekly payments, a company-matched 401K, medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and six paid holidays.
To apply, please ensure you meet the basic qualifications, including being at least 18 years old, possessing a valid driver's license, and having a customer-focused attitude. Candidates with I-CAR or ASE certifications and 2-3 years of collision repair experience are preferred. Successful completion of a background check is required. For specific inquiries regarding the application process or reasonable accommodations, please contact our recruiting team.
