We are seeking an Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 school year to manage and coordinate district athletic activities and sports programs. This role exists to promote athletics and physical fitness as positive extra-curricular activities while ensuring all students have an equal opportunity to participate and share in the benefits of our programs.
As the Athletic Director, you will serve as the primary liaison between the district, the Board of Education, coaches, parents, and the community. You will engage in long-range planning, evaluate programs, and develop policy recommendations. Your day will involve overseeing fiscal planning, managing budgets, and supervising ticket sales and fundraising events. You will also be responsible for recruiting and evaluating coaching staff, arranging transportation, and ensuring the safety and eligibility of all athletes. Through your professional and ethical conduct, you will present a positive image of the Springfield City School District.
