The Assurance Manager serves as a pivotal leader in supervising, directing, and reviewing audit engagements from planning through field work to the final wrap-up. Beyond technical oversight, this role is charged with driving business growth through marketing, networking, and business development within a specific area of expertise. You will ensure engagement profitability by managing billings and collections while acting as a trusted advisor to clients on economic and regulatory risks.
In this position, you will resolve complex accounting issues, apply GAAP and GAAS consistently in challenging situations, and document technical consultation memos. You will validate and assess financial reporting control systems, draft complex financial statements, and review SEC filings for accuracy and compliance. The role requires a blend of technical mastery and executive presence, as you will serve as the primary contact for clients, preparing and presenting to them and potential clients. You will also act as a career advisor and coach, providing on-the-job training to associates and senior associates to foster their professional growth.
