As a member of the Library's supervisory team, you will champion exceptional service for children and families across Weber County Library locations. Under the supervision of the branch manager, you provide leadership in front-line customer service, shaping memorable learning experiences through interactive technology classes, after-school programs, and literacy events.
Your day involves more than just managing the youth services desk; you will develop and present diverse activities that support transliteracy and lifelong learning. From instructing youth on technology resources to collaborating with local schools and preschools on outreach, you will actively promote the Library's mission. You will also supervise the maintenance of specialty collections and ensure a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Applicants must have significant experience working with youth in a teaching environment and meet the required educational qualifications. The position requires availability for morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and some holiday shifts, as the library operates seven days a week with rotating schedules.
Selection involves a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. Preference is given to candidates fluent in more than one language, reflecting our commitment to engaging with high-risk populations and diverse communities.
