The Department of Emergency Medicine at UTMC is a growing academic program dedicated to shaping the next generation of emergency physicians. We are seeking an enthusiastic and mission-driven Associate Program Director (APD) to join our team, bringing a passion for education, mentorship, and academic leadership to our ACGME-accredited residency program.
As the Associate Program Director, you will partner closely with the Program Director to advance all aspects of our residency program while maintaining an active clinical practice. This position offers a unique balance of substantial leadership opportunity and clinical engagement, with an average of 24 clinical hours per week across our teaching hospitals.
In this role, you will share leadership of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, overseeing the development and continuous improvement of resident didactics, curriculum, clinical schedules, and rotations. You will play a key role in faculty and resident evaluation processes, remediation initiatives, and new resident orientation programming. Beyond administrative duties, you will serve as a clinical educator and role model across UTMC's teaching sites, stepping in to assume program leadership responsibilities whenever the Program Director is unavailable.
