OBU transforms lives by equipping students to pursue academic excellence, integrate faith with all areas of knowledge, engage a diverse world, and live worthy of the high calling of God in Christ. The School of Nursing views nursing as both a Christian ministry and a professional practice, dedicated to educating the next generation of nurses who provide quality care through competent and professional practice.
The School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This on-campus position plays a vital role in shaping future registered nurses through a blend of classroom instruction, clinical coordination, simulation, skills lab facilitation, and online teaching. The successful candidate will serve as a mentor and educator, guiding students from their first year through licensure preparation.
In this role, you will foster a learning environment that integrates faith with professional practice. You will collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students master content, develop psychomotor skills, and refine clinical reasoning through high- and low-fidelity simulations. Beyond the classroom, you will advise students on their academic and professional journeys, monitor their progress, and support their personal and career development.
OBU achieves its mission through a shared commitment to Christian faith, integrity, and excellence. All employees are expected to model these values, treating people with dignity and respect while building relationships on honesty and trust. As a faculty member, you will be expected to be a member of a local evangelical Christian church, reflecting the university's core identity.
Interested candidates should submit their application materials to the School of Nursing. The selection process involves a review of qualifications, followed by interviews with the search committee. Candidates will be evaluated on their pedagogical skills, clinical expertise, and alignment with OBU's mission and expectations.
