About the Role
This position serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Legal Counsel, managing the legal, corporate compliance, and contracting functions of OU Health. Depending on individual experience and qualifications, the role will be filled as either an Associate General Counsel or a Senior Associate General Counsel. The incumbent provides comprehensive legal advice and support concerning all aspects of healthcare services provided at OU Health facilities, while overseeing outside counsel for complex matters.
The role exists to ensure the organization's adherence to federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. You will work closely with designated departments to resolve agency complaints, manage anticipated or pending litigation, and review business transactions. A key part of the day-to-day involves communicating legal implications of business strategies to executives, developing policies aligned with the company's mission and core values, and providing education on operational and regulatory matters to committees and staff.

Requirements
- verifiedJuris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited institution
- verifiedAt least 3-5 years of experience in general corporate law, litigation, and/or health care law
- verifiedCurrent attorney license and bar affiliation in the State of Oklahoma or the ability to get licensed within twelve months
- verifiedProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar software)
Nice to Have
Strong academic background and working knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations and accreditation standards. Prior law firm experience or previous in-house experience. Experience advising providers and health care entities.
