This position serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Legal Counsel, supporting the management of legal, corporate compliance, and contracting functions for OU Health. Depending on individual experience and qualifications, the role will be filled as either an Associate General Counsel or a Senior Associate General Counsel. The incumbent provides comprehensive legal advice and support regarding all aspects of healthcare services delivered at OU Health facilities, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy, core values, mission, and vision.
The role involves overseeing outside counsel for complex matters, managing anticipated or pending litigation, and reviewing business transactions. You will work closely with designated departments to resolve state and federal agency complaints and claims, while also advising executives on the legal implications of business strategies, policies, and procedures. A key component of the position is fostering a culture of compliance by providing education and support on operational and regulatory matters to OU Health facilities and committees.
