About the Team

Northstar Travel Group is the largest and most trusted B2B travel media and information company in the world. Our mission is to be the leading global provider of trusted information and experiences for the audiences that drive the travel industry, while delivering innovative and high-performing marketing solutions to the businesses seeking to engage them.

SportsTravel serves as the go-to resource for high-level decision-makers in the sports-event industry. Our influential audience includes national governing bodies, sanctioning organizations, college athletic conferences, professional teams and leagues, and youth and amateur sports organizations. These entities depend on SportsTravel to help determine event locations, select venues, book hotel accommodations, and build relationships to organize their events.

About the Role

We are looking for a truly exceptional, multitalented journalist who takes pride in a job well done and is passionate about building a journalism career at the apex of the sports, travel, and event-planning industries. This role is designed for someone with a strong editorial voice who thrives on creating high-quality, original content.

As an Associate Editor, you will provide digital coverage of the sports-event industry for SportsTravel's website and social media channels. You will represent the Sports Division at live events, both internal and external, serving as a key contributor to our content strategy and a trusted partner to cross-functional teams. The position combines hands-on content creation with strategic editing and curation.

Unlike traditional newsrooms, SportsTravel is a business-to-business publication and does not require daily deadline reporting from live sports events. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States. We also have offices in Rutherford, New Jersey, and New York City for those who favor being in an office a few days a week.

Hiring Process

To join our team, click the application link provided. We seek impressive individuals to contribute fresh ideas and strengthen our team in all departments and specialties. We welcome creativity, dedication, drive, and passion in a fast-paced and fun environment that offers opportunity and work/life balance.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Northstar, we believe that our workforce should reflect the vast diversity of the cultures and communities that are experienced through travel. We know that our greatest strengths come from the people who make up our team, and we are committed to building and sustaining a diverse, inclusive, accessible, and equitable culture and workplace. We understand that diverse voices, points of view, and contributions are at the heart of Northstar's success and impact.
