The Event Coordinator serves as a vital partner to the Director of Events & Liturgies within the Department for Pastoral Ministries. This role is dedicated to bringing the department's vision to life by planning, marketing, and coordinating a diverse array of conferences, retreats, liturgies, trainings, and workshops. The position exists to ensure that every initiative, from local parish gatherings to major diocesan events, is executed with precision, spiritual integrity, and strategic impact.
A significant portion of this role is focused on the Rural Grant initiative (2025–2030). As a key liaison, the coordinator will guide the leadership team in aligning activities with the grant's strategic objectives, serving as the primary bridge between the department and rural deanery leaders. This involves monitoring progress, facilitating decision-making, and ensuring accountability throughout the grant's lifecycle. The role also plays a crucial part in developing digital outreach and evangelization efforts, helping to expand the church's reach through modern communication channels.
In the day-to-day, you will navigate the intersection of logistics and liturgy. You will collaborate with pastoral specialists to design event proposals that honor liturgical norms and rubrics while meeting marketing goals. From developing bilingual graphic design proposals to coordinating cross-functional teams of volunteers, clergy, and laity, your work ensures that every event runs smoothly from initial conception to post-event evaluation. You will manage the full spectrum of event administration, including equipment logistics, safety protocols, and the protection of confidential information, all while fostering a solution-oriented culture that promotes the organization's mission.
