The School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington promotes the highest standards of integrity and excellence in research, teaching, and service. The School of Social Work invites applications for an Associate Dean for Student and Academic Affairs, a position expected to start September 1, 2026. This pivotal role requires a dynamic and visionary leader committed to academic excellence and student success. As a member of the Dean's Senior Leadership Team, the Associate Dean will provide strategic vision to advance the School's mission, manage significant budgets, and oversee daily operations for undergraduate and graduate programs. The role involves supervising leaders in Practicum Education, Academic Advising, and Student Affairs, while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and SACSCOC. The successful candidate will champion a culture of student engagement, foster belonging, and collaborate with faculty to enhance the overall student experience.

The position is open to candidates for appointment as an Associate or Full Professor, either tenured or on the Academic Professional Track.

This DSW program will allow new cohorts to begin in January and June, preparing students to become leaders and educators in the field.
