This is a non-tenure track, 0.83 FTE, 10-month career-line faculty position for an Assistant Professor (Clinical). The role is designed to be a long-term position within the University's Career-Line Faculty structure, with a renewable contract. You will serve as the primary link between student practicums and the College, teaching and facilitating the integration of the social work educational curriculum in the field.
In this capacity, you will develop and maintain quality field education placements across various counties in the state. Your day-to-day involves guiding students and field instructors through the practicum experience, developing individualized learning contracts, and conducting site visits to bridge curriculum and field. You will also teach and facilitate practicum seminars, manage crises, and collaborate with the practicum team to cultivate effective partnerships with agencies. This is an in-person position based at the College in Salt Lake City.

Applicants must submit an MSW degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program. Individuals from backgrounds traditionally under-represented in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply. The selection process will evaluate candidates based on their post-MSW practice experience, knowledge of local health and human service systems, and experience in social work education and behavioral health counseling.
