Founded in 1955, the Department of Statistics and Probability at Michigan State University (MSU) maintains a long tradition of excellence in fundamental research. We seek candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in probability at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will develop and sustain a strong research program, provide high-quality education at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and engage in professional and institutional service.\n We are particularly interested in expertise areas such as high-dimensional probability, random matrix theory, random graphs, stochastic analysis, and stochastic processes. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated research interests or expertise in developing new theory or methods, either directly or with clear implications for applications. Candidates are expected to show evidence of productivity and potential for independent research (Assistant level) or a history of leading a successful research program with independent funding (Associate/Full level). Additionally, a commitment to teaching, mentorship, and building an equitable and diverse scholarly and instructional environment is required.
