Work Environment
The role is primarily situated within a manufacturing plant setting, requiring regular verification of processes on the production floor. The environment typically features moderate to high noise levels and may involve exposure to fumes, dust, and elevated temperatures due to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Success in this position requires the physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various physical positions such as bending, kneeling, and reaching. - check_circlePerform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications
- check_circleConduct thorough quality control checks including visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests
- check_circleInspect hardware across assemblies and parts to confirm correct installation and alignment
- check_circleMaintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality documentation in accordance with company policies
- check_circleIdentify opportunities for process improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- check_circleCalibrate and maintain testing equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability
- check_circlePerform In Process Audits (IPA) and In Process Checks (IPC) to ensure adherence to quality protocols
- check_circleCollaborate with the disposition team to address non-conforming products and ensure transfer out of the material review area
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School diploma or vocational/technical certificate
- verifiedMinimum two (2) years' experience in quality assurance
- verifiedCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in quality assurance or similar field, or minimum three (3) years' experience working in quality assurance or related field.
