The Preschool Assistant Teacher serves as a vital partner to the lead teacher in a classroom of 14 to 20 Head Start and preschool children aged 3 to 5. This role is designed to support the daily rhythm of the classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere where every child can thrive.
In this position, you will assist in the planning and implementation of classroom activities, working closely with families to build strong partnerships. Your day will involve facilitating learning experiences, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the ongoing monitoring of program quality. This role is essential to the Head Start mission, balancing direct child interaction with the coordination of services that support the whole family.
