Episcopal Community Services (ECS) is dedicated to serving the formerly homeless and disadvantaged populations in San Francisco. Our mission is to provide intensive social work and support services that foster dignity, self-sufficiency, and tenant empowerment. We value a workplace where every individual is respected, supported, and given equal opportunity to thrive, operating with integrity, fairness, and ethical business practices.
The Assistant Support Services Manager (ASSM) plays a pivotal role in the oversight and development of the Support Services program at designated housing sites. Working in close partnership with the Support Services Manager (SSM), this position bridges clinical case management with team leadership to support formerly homeless adults. The ASSM shares supervision of case management and services staff while maintaining their own resident caseload, ensuring a balanced approach to direct client care and programmatic growth.
In this role, you will be the frontline advocate for residents, conducting initial intake assessments and providing ongoing case management that addresses health, psychosocial, and financial needs. You will facilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groups, organize community-building activities, and assist residents in navigating complex systems including substance use recovery, legal services, and housing resources. Beyond direct client work, you will support the operational success of the site by assisting with staff supervision, training, and the development of new programs, ensuring all activities align with ECS's mission and contractual obligations.
ECS is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to serving diverse populations with cultural competency and sensitivity. We recognize that our strength lies in our multi-disciplinary teams and our ability to respond effectively to the unique challenges faced by our residents, including those dealing with mental health issues, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
We offer industry-leading healthcare benefits to support your physical and mental well-being. ECS values a workplace where every individual is respected and supported. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records consistent with San Francisco's Fair Chance Ordinance.
Candidates interested in joining the ECS team should submit their application through our official channels. Please note that all offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a finger image screening and annual TB screening. We look forward to reviewing your qualifications and discussing how your experience aligns with our mission to serve our community.
