The New Jersey Association on Correction (NJAC) is dedicated to promoting social justice and human dignity within the policies and institutions that govern offenders and victims of crime. Through educational, legislative, and rehabilitative programs, the Association works to transform lives and strengthen communities across Mercer, Burlington, and Hunterdon Counties.
This position serves as a critical link between the New Jersey State Parole Board and the adult male and female offenders under its supervision. You will operate within the Community Resource Center, a hub providing comprehensive assessments, programming, employment support, cognitive behavioral therapy, and social service referrals.
In this capacity, you will provide direct supervision to case managers, ensuring that every client receives appropriate services tailored to their assessed needs. Your day-to-day involves coordinating program direction in strict adherence to NJAC policies and industry evidence-based standards. You will work alongside the Program Supervisor to manage casework functions, monitor resident progress, and ensure compliance with individualized service plans. When the Program Supervisor is absent, you will assume full responsibility for the program's operations.
The role requires a dynamic balance of administrative oversight and direct engagement. You will facilitate group dynamics, conduct interventions, and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences to address the unique challenges of special needs populations. Safety and security are paramount; you will be responsible for the real-time accountability of residents, facility searches, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and clients alike.
