About the Role

As an Assistant Manager at Jack in the Box, you will serve as a vital partner to the Restaurant Manager, stepping in to lead operations whenever needed. Your mission is to bring the Service Profit Chain and our Brand Promise to life every day, ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile and every team member feels valued. You are the bridge between our company's vision and the daily reality of the restaurant floor, responsible for cultivating a friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment where high performance thrives.

In this role, you will not only manage the logistics of the business but also the culture. You will be the face of the brand for both our guests and our team, modeling the integrity and passion that define Jack in the Box. Whether you are analyzing financial reports to drive profitability, coaching a Shift Leader on their next career step, or resolving a guest concern with empathy, your work directly impacts the success of the restaurant and the broader organization.

The Day-to-Day

Your day is a dynamic blend of people leadership and operational excellence. You will spend significant time on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure their experience exceeds expectations and monitoring food quality and safety standards. You will recruit, train, and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of respect and growth where employees are recognized for their contributions.

You will partner with the Restaurant Manager to analyze business performance, identifying trends in sales and costs to implement action plans that boost profitability. This involves using management tools to review operational data, ensuring compliance with all labor laws and health regulations, and maintaining the restaurant's physical appearance. You will also handle the practicalities of the business, such as bank deposits and travel to other locations, requiring you to be mobile and adaptable.
