The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology seeks an Associate Professor to join its faculty at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. The role is designed to conduct biomedical research in neurophysiology, specifically complementing the department's existing strengths in other areas of physiology and pharmacology.
As an Associate Professor, you will lead independent research focused on the systems neurophysiology of the autonomic nervous system, neural engineering, and neuromodulation of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Your work will involve advanced techniques such as in vivo electrophysiology, microsurgery of peripheral nerves, and cardiovascular telemetry. This position requires a high degree of critical thinking, effective decision-making, and the ability to maintain organized, accurate records while upholding the highest level of professionalism.
