About the Team

TeamHealth is seeking an Assistant Medical Director to join our emergency department leadership team at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to lead within a 52,000-volume emergency department located in a full-service community hospital with robust specialty support, including a separate pediatric ED open 20 hours a day.

Overlook Medical Center is a nationally recognized regional medical center and part of the Atlantic Health System. The 467-bed facility is renowned for clinical excellence, having been ranked by Healthgrades in the top five percent of hospitals in the nation for stroke treatment for six consecutive years. It houses the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, a Level IV epilepsy center, and the Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center, providing a state-of-the-art environment for patient care and research.

About the Role

As an Assistant Medical Director, you will serve as a key leader in a high-volume, high-acuity setting. This position is designed for board-certified or board-eligible emergency medicine physicians with a demonstrated history of success in leadership. With TeamHealth's support and resources, you will have the opportunity to shape the practice of emergency medicine while growing into local, regional, and national leadership roles.

The role offers a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, supported by overlapping physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APC) coverage.
