About Lennar

Lennar is one of the nation's leading homebuilders, dedicated to creating an extraordinary experience for homeowners, communities, and associates. As a Fortune 500® company consistently ranked among the top homebuilders in the United States, we build quality homes, provide exceptional customer service, and give back to the communities where we work and live. Our mission is to foster a culture of opportunity and growth, empowering associates to build their future while making dreams come true through zero-defect homes, cost management, and strict adherence to schedules.

About the Role

The Director, Assistant General Counsel is a key member of Lennar's in-house legal team, serving as a strategic partner to Division and Region leadership. This role provides practical, business-oriented legal support across land acquisition, land development, entitlement, title, construction, and related real estate matters. You will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions, managing legal risk, and overseeing outside counsel to move communities from deal evaluation through development execution.

In this position, you will lead a workstream or regional portfolio, translating complex legal requirements and commercial considerations into clear, actionable guidance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Land Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and Risk teams to anticipate risks and deliver timely solutions. Beyond legal execution, you will mentor individual-contributor attorneys, develop legal standards and playbooks, and manage matter-level financial responsibilities to ensure cost-conscious decision-making.

Life at Lennar

At Lennar, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment that enhances associate well-being and professional growth. Our comprehensive benefits package includes robust health insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision), a 401(k) Retirement Plan with a $1 for $1 company match up to 5%, and Paid Parental Leave. We support diverse needs through an Education Assistance Program, up to $30,000 in Adoption Assistance, and an Associate Assistance Plan. Associates enjoy up to three weeks of vacation annually, generous holiday and sick leave policies, and unique perks such as significant home purchase discounts and an Everyone's Included Day.

Equal Opportunity

Lennar is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
