We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Community Manager to oversee leasing operations at our affordable housing community governed by HUD/Section 8 regulations. This role is designed to help lead the team in ensuring full occupancy while maintaining strict compliance with Section 8 requirements. You will deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, balancing marketing efforts, application processing, income verification, and renewals with the coordination needed to maintain accurate records and meet occupancy goals.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the certification and recertification programs for HUD, maintaining property waiting lists, and coordinating on-site data collection. Your day-to-day will involve scheduling resident recertification interviews, ensuring proper calculation of income and rent levels, and assisting with accounts receivable and payable tasks. You will also coordinate apartment inspections, create work requests, and assist residents with inquiries while maintaining files in accordance with company and regulatory agency policies.
