As an Assistant Community Manager, you will serve as a vital partner to the Community Manager, supporting the overall operations of an affordable housing property. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with HUD and LIHTC programs while ensuring the smooth functioning of resident services, financial procedures, and team oversight.
You will be the face of the property, building positive relationships with prospective and current tenants while managing essential administrative tasks. Your day-to-day involves coordinating data collection, scheduling recertification interviews, and ensuring accurate calculations of income, assets, and rent levels. Beyond compliance, you will assist in resolving resident complaints, maintaining detailed files, and supporting leasing and maintenance operations.
This position requires a high level of independence and adaptability. You must be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to attend resident events and cover on-call duties. The role also involves physical tasks, such as accessing all areas of the property and maneuvering weights up to 50 lbs. independently.
Candidates are encouraged to review the full benefits and company culture details at Pratum Companies Careers. Applications are reviewed based on relevant experience in residential property management, specifically with Section 8 projects, and the required COS certification.
