The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is situated in the famed Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. As part of a massive new development, the resort features 17 ski lifts, over 1,600 residential units, eight hotels with a total of approximately 1,350 rooms, and one of the world's largest "ski beaches." The Grand Hyatt itself offers 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units. The property boasts 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, a lobby-level three-meal restaurant and bar, a signature bar, a pool and après-ski bar and grill, a coffee bistro, a large outdoor event terrace, a pool, three whirlpools, a kids club, and a fitness area.
The Banquet Assistant Manager supports the Event Services leadership team by overseeing the successful execution of all banquet events. This role ensures that every function, large or small, meets Hyatt brand standards, aligns with client expectations, and delivers an exceptional guest experience. You will provide hands-on leadership, support colleague development, and maintain a polished, organized, and service-driven operation. From room set-ups and service delivery to event flow and post-event breakdown, you will be the on-site contact for planners and group leaders, ensuring smooth coordination with Culinary, Stewarding, and Event Planning departments.
