The Department of Neurology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences provides comprehensive clinical services to the communities of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, addressing a wide spectrum of neurological disorders. A core component of our mission is the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, alongside the development of robust research programs dedicated to understanding and treating neurological conditions.
We are seeking a dedicated faculty member to join our team as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Neurology with a specialization in Epileptology. This academic position is designed for a professional who is committed to the highest levels of competence in teaching, patient care, research, and scholarship. The role is integral to the function of the Department, requiring a balanced integration of clinical duties, educational mentorship, and scholarly contributions.
In this capacity, you will serve as a key leader in our Epilepsy program. Your clinical responsibilities will include managing the EEG service with a rotation schedule, reading intraoperative monitoring (IOM) studies, and providing both inpatient and outpatient neurology care. You will also play a vital role in the academic mission by precepting and mentoring students and residents through lectures, rounds, and conferences. Additionally, you are expected to engage in research activities with the goal of securing intramural and extramural grant funding.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, have successfully completed a neurology residency and a fellowship in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology, and be Board Certified (or eligible for certification within three years).
